BIO
I hail from Eugene, Oregon, and got my Bachelor's degree in Urban Geography and Architecture from Dartmouth College. Dartmouth provided lots of opportunities to learn things out of the classroom, and I got hooked on timber frame building thanks to doing a few projects for the Outing Club and learning from a master of the craft, Jay White Cloud. I practice a Japanese type of framing, using different methods of layout and joinery. My projects have ranged from pieces of furniture to outbuildings for the Dartmouth organic farm.

WORK
I'm back in Eugene and available to cut small timber frames. Need a garden shed or a backyard studio? How about a simple guest house or a cabin in the Cascades? Shoot me an email and let's talk. Timber frames - and especially Japanese timber frames - offer many advantages over conventional construction.
Unfortunately, I'm no longer set up to build high-finish custom furniture. However, I can build workbenches, harvest tables, shelves, and tables using traditional hand tools and techniques. Again, if you're interested, feel free to ask any questions you have.
